DAY 39 has just been announced as a finalist for the 42nd Annual Student Academy Awards, making it to the top seven of all narrative student films to premier in 2015. The Gold, Silver and Bronze award winners will be announced in late August.
Day 39 premiered at Lincoln Center in New York City as part of the 2015 Columbia Film Festival. At the festival the film was awarded faculty honors and it won the IFP Audience Choice Award. Producer Josh Cohen also won the Richard Brick Memorial Award for best producer.
Sound Lounge in New York very generously offered to mix the film for us.
Today we begin the color correct process for the film. We are working with Light Iron through a generous development grant.

DAY 39 was one of four films selected to take place in the ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) film scoring workshop. As part of the workshop we partnered with the incredibly talented composer Francis Rodriguez to develop a unique score for the film. Once the scope was designed ASCAP sponsored a recording session at MSR Studios in New York City with 16 union musicians from the New York area.
